2. Personal data we process
- identification and contact details such as name, surname, email and telephone number;
- enquiry and booking details, participant numbers, preferred date, selected tour and payment information;
- information relevant to equipment selection and safe delivery, such as body height, experience and tour preferences;
- voluntarily provided information required to prepare or safely provide the service;
- communications, complaints and records of consent or acknowledgements;
- technical website-visit data where cookies or similar technologies are permitted;
- photographs or videos where an appropriate legal basis exists.

4. Requirement to provide data
Data marked as mandatory is required to prepare an offer, respond to an enquiry, make a booking or provide the service. If it is not provided, JAE may be unable to respond, conclude the booking or perform the contract. Consent to analytics, marketing or promotional images is not a condition of booking.
5. Recipients and processors
Authorised JAE personnel and external service providers may access data where necessary for a specific purpose, for example hosting and email providers, accounting providers, analytics or advertising platforms, guides, bicycle rental providers or transport providers.
When you submit an enquiry through the website form, the entered data is technically transmitted through FormSubmit (formsubmit.co). The service receives the submission and forwards it to JAE's email address. FormSubmit processes the data to provide this technical delivery service. According to FormSubmit's publicly available documentation, form submissions are retained for up to 30 days.
6. Transfers outside the EEA
Some external service providers may process personal data outside the European Economic Area. Where such a transfer is relevant, the requirements and mechanisms provided by the GDPR apply.
7. Retention periods
- enquiries not resulting in a booking at JAE: normally up to 6 months after communication ends;
- bookings and contractual documentation: until relevant limitation periods expire and longer where tax or accounting law requires;
- data based on consent: until consent is withdrawn or the purpose ends;
- technical copies of form submissions at FormSubmit: according to its publicly available documentation, up to 30 days.
8. Your rights
Subject to the conditions in the GDPR, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, object to processing, withdraw consent and lodge a complaint with the Slovenian Information Commissioner. Send requests to info@julianalpsexperience.com.
9. Automated decision-making
JAE does not make decisions based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects for individuals.
10. Data security
JAE applies appropriate organisational and technical measures to protect personal data, including access controls, secure passwords, system updates and backups.
11. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated due to changes in services, technology or law. The current version and its effective date are published on the website.
